About me

Elyzabeth Gorman

I’m a writer and research junkie with a passion for details. My creative storytelling background helps me use structure and specificity to guide readers through new ideas, new worlds, or new points of view. My love of grammar and working with writers makes me adore every type of editing. I edit British and American English, primarily in Oxford and APA. I do trainings in writing for business and wrote an English for Nederlanders series on Frankwatching that was 2019’s most-read.

A Trustee Scholar at Boston University’s theater conservatory, I became a theater director and dramaturg, earning awards and fellowships/memberships from the Society of Directors and Choreographers, the Sam French Festival, the Gielgud Fellowship, Huntington Theatre Company, Lincoln Center Directors Lab and the League of Professional Theatre Women.

My company, Badass Tours, has led hundreds of people through Amsterdam while focusing on the history of women and the LGBTQ population. I wrote a storytelling tour of De Burcht van Berlage for the International Institute of Social History that received over 900 visitors during its run in December of 2019.
